China completes new helicopter conformal antenna

On the 4th, the reporter learned from the China Aviation Industry Corporation Helicopter Research Institute (referred to as the Aviation Industry Helicopter Institute) that my country has completed the new helicopter research conformal antenna for the first time, and it will soon be applied to a new helicopter model. This is another domestic helicopter industry. A new breakthrough. According to experts, aviation antennas are devices used to radiate and receive radio waves on aircraft. Traditional antennas are mostly rod antennas, which are installed on the outer surface of the body structure, which to some extent destroys the aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft, increases the radar reflector, and is directly affected by the aerodynamic load, and the risk of rod antenna fracture is high. Conformal antenna is a conformal design of antenna and structure
